ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY OF THE POLYACRYLONITRILE CHAIN

All stages of a Polyacrylonitrile sustainability chain are objects of intense research at IGTPAN, whether in relation to monomer production, polymer production, fiber production, plasticization and recycling of all products containing PAN, in the form of acrylic fibers, or THERMPAN technology resins, leading to the production of various substances through chemical recycling to obtain superabsorbent polymer (SAP) for agricultural use - HIDROSILO -, and also derivatives generally produced from routes that use acrylic acid and acrylamide.
